Abstract
We present a 54 year-old male with a history of peripheral arterial disease, bilateral below knee amputations complicated by jumpy stump syndrome, and May-Thurner Syndrome status post IVC filter placement. This patient presented to the pain clinic with acute bilateral leg pain and chronic back pain from lumbar radiculopathy. Given their history of May-Thurner Syndrome, holding anticoagulation for interventional pain injections becomes complex. We will review risk stratification of interventional pain procedures and current guideline recommendations for holding antiplatelet and anticoagulation medications prior to intervention.
