Abstract

A 34-year-old female G7P4 presented for cesarean hysterectomy. Preoperative imaging showed evidence of complete placenta previa and high suspicion for placenta percreta with invasion into the bladder. Initial case complicated by massive hemorrhage requiring vascular surgery intervention including external compression of the aorta against the spine as well as suture ligation of bilateral internal iliac arteries. Complex cystorrhaphy completed by urology given placental infiltration. We will discuss placenta accreta spectrum disorder and the anesthetic considerations for these patients.
