Abstract
A 69-year-old female with MT-TK mitochondrial myopathy with chronic skeletal muscle weakness, sensorineural hearing loss, and vision loss who underwent a successful triple vessel coronary bypass grafting. Given that the significant surgical stress could lead to many complications including metabolic decompensation, this case will discuss the anesthetic implications, pharmacologic considerations, and postoperative management for patients with mitochondrial disease.
