Abstract

Sugammadex is used for the reversal of rocuronium and vecuronium and is the go to reversal agent at our institution. While it is primarily used within FDA-approved guidelines, it is frequently used, possibly unknowingly, outside these guidelines. We examined the frequency of this off label use, opportunities for improvement and the challenges and limitations of working with the Multicenter Perioperative Outcomes Group database in analyzing off-label usage.
