Abstract

We present a case of a 28-year-old female with a history of premature birth, hypertension, renal artery stenosis, and chronic renal disease on hemodialysis, who presented to the hospital for kidney transplantation. Following transplant, patient was taken back to the operating room the next day for surgical exploration and assessment of vascular anastomoses. Upon induction of general anesthesia, patient was difficult to intubate, and multiple intubation attempts were required before successful intubation with a 5.0 endotracheal tube. Here, we discuss the different causes and management of subglottic and tracheal stenosis
