Abstract
We present a case of a 61 y.o. F with a PMH of SAH s/p coiling presenting with low back pain radiating to the posterior left extremity and right anterior thigh. Workup revealed an intramural extramedullary cyst lesion from T12-L5. She had an L4-5 laminectomy done for drainage of the arachnoid cyst. Subsequently, she had a recurrence of the cyst and had a lumboperitoneal shunt placed in an attempt to relieve her pain. She initially had some relief but presented to the pain clinic as her pain has returned. A caudal epidural was planned, as it would prevent compression of the cyst.
