Abstract
A 45 yo female presented to our hospital for a robotic sacrocolpopexy with cystocele repair, rectocele repair, laparoscopic vaginal hysterectomy with bilateral salpingectomy. Surgery was completed without complication. During her case, a new device called Trenguard was used for correct Trendelenburg positioning. Following her procedure, she developed an area of pressure-induced alopecia at 3 weeks post operation. She was evaluated by dermatology and started on a daily steroid. This case evaluates different positional modalities used to secure a patient in Trendelenburg position. Additionally, it evaluates the positional as well as surgical risks associated with pressure-induced alopecia.
