Abstract
63 year-old male presenting after mechanical fall at home. Patient was unable to get up after fall. Patient’s family noticed facial swelling attributed to fall. In ED, patient noted to have dysarthria and word finding difficulties. CT with no evidence of acute ischemia or hemorrhage. Upon further examination, patient noted to have diffuse non-pitting edema. Lab results revealed TSH 73.15 and free T4 < 0.4.
