Abstract
Video demonstration of a total talus arthroplasty performed on a 23-year-old female for talar avascular necrosis with dome collapse secondary after prior traumatic talus fracture and ORIF. Viewers are guided through the surgical indications and contraindications of a total talus arthroplasty. The patient case is presented, including a full diagnostic workup. The video then details surgical considerations, necessary equipment, and proper operating room set-up. Subsequently, viewers are guided through a step-by-step surgical technique of a total talus arthroplasty. Finally, the video concludes describing the senior author's post-operative/rehabilitation protocol, outcome of the patient case, and supporting literature for this technique.
