Abstract

Synchronous bilateral breast cancer (BBC) occurs in 1% to 3% of breast cancer cases. While uncommon, identifying contralateral disease at diagnosis is critical for optimal treatment. Due to its low incidence, data on BBC remain limited therefore this study sought to characterize its clinicopathologic features and management patterns.
