Abstract
In the U.S., cardiovascular disease accounts for 13.2% of pregnancy-related deaths. Pregnant patients with cardiac conditions face heightened risks of hemodynamic instability, arrhythmias, heart failure, and thromboembolic events. Anesthesiologists play a critical role in developing individualized anesthetic plans that allow for prompt recognition of decompensation. This case highlights the challenges of providing neuraxial anesthesia for labor induction and the precautions taken to optimize patient care.
